Picture Post

As I said in my last post, my super-terriffic husband figured out how to download our camera pictures onto Stupid Windows Vista (SWV). Now, I can be the annoying proud mama, and post pics of my cute and adorable kids. Aren't you thrilled????

These are from the Harry Potter Book Party:

And these are from yesterday's first day of school:

One Month to go!!!!

In one month, I will be in Canada!!!

I really am having a hard time believing that. It's just so . . . EEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

Sorry, I think I've had too much caffine this morning.

Also, after seeing Dani's pictures, I'm not sure the baby is going to wait for me.

Baby, this is your net-auntie Callie. Don't be in a huge hurry. You have to wait for me. I have to be there to take pictures to post on the blogs for all our friends around the blog-verse. I have to be there for your mommy. I promised I would. Don't go making a liar out of me.

:-D

In other news, Kidlet and Munchkin start school tomorrow. This will be Munchkin's first day at kindergarten. Woot! There will be pictures (since hubby is fantastic, and figured out how to download the camera onto stupid Windows Vista).

And let me close today's post by wishing Kidlet a very happy 12th birthday. I LOVE YOU, BABY!!!!

Camping

Well, we went camping this weekend. It wasn't as much fun as I had hoped. The lake was SOOO far down, it made the swimming area pretty much a mud pit. Plus, there were these college kids who thought that they owned the campground. Very rude. I mean, I'm all for college kids having fun, but I draw the line when they puke in the bathroom sink, then again right outside the bathroom door, and they don't clean it up. YUK! Disgusting. Not to mention the fact that the wasps and yellow jackets were in abundant supply. And seriously, I'm a total wuss when it comes to those buggers. Yikes!

That's not to say that it wasn't completely gorgeous in the hills, and that I adore my husband for doing all the work, and making sure I got to rest and relax. He's such a sweetie!

New Job

I started my new job this week.

Even though I'm still doing the same type of work, this place is SOOOOOO much different than my old job. Not in a bad way. Just less structured. I'm not used to it yet. I'm used to a policy department that works with the legal department to make standardized boilerplates that are used for all contracts. Here, the analyst decides which clauses to use, and when, and (to the best of my knowledge) there are no checks before it goes out to bid. Very odd. But, the gals are super nice, and fun. Hopefully, this will be a good learning experience.

And, since the great state of California doesn't have a budget, because the legislators can't seem to get their heads out of their collective asses, I really don't have much to do, other than read manuals.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

BUT - we're going camping this weekend! Woot! Can't wait.
