Does Anyone Know . . .
I have a question for the technically literate out there -
I deleted my old blog weeks ago. I just heard about something called google cache, and was wondering if it was possible to look there to see if it has pages from my old website. Only, I tried to figure out where to go and how to use it, and I'm hopelessly stupid when it comes to crap like this.
Can anyone help??

I can only make a suggestion: open Google and search for your old blog by name. If they have cached it, it will show up with the word “cache.”
For details of what Google does with its cache, go to: http://www.google.com/intl/en/help/features.html#cached

If you go to google blog search. And type in the subject or the blog name they will have it there.
I deleted my old blog and went back and it was still there.
Well, I went to google blog search, and I found a couple of my old entries, but when I clicked on them (naturally) they didn't come up. So, I need to see if there is any way the google cache thing took a picture of certain days and stored it. There were only a few posts I really wanted, and those were about my kids.
I got nothing. I can say I had an old blog (which I loved) and for some unknown reason someone hacked it and made a "bizarro" site similar to mine only with porn pictures and stuff. They also duplicated my profile and went around leaving really racist and vulgar comments on people's sites. I deleted that blog and then the loser went and stole my old url and now there's just this stupid RIP logo thing up. I still fume when I think about that. Good luck with your search.
i emailed you some stuff links..but i'm not sure if it's far back enuf or not.
trix.
I know how that is, Lady Hearteater. A fellow blogger had issues with a hacker signing in as her. She was able to trace the person down through Sitemeter, and had a pretty good idea of who it was who was posting as her. She was able to stop it without having to delete her blog, luckily.
BTW - do you want to be called Lady? LH? Eater?
Trix - thank you for the e-mails! I'm going to try them later on today to see if I can recover some of my old posts.
So how about an update girl. What happened? Any success? Don't keep us waiting ;)
don't woory MD, Callie never throws stuff out if its not on the computer. (You should see our fidge.)
HAPPY NEW YEAR FOLKS
Try this link and click the "Cached" link beneath each search result. There are 52 returns, most of them cached, including two monthly archive pages (July and April).
I'd be glad to help out more if you need it.
