Nothing new happening here . . .

Still earning $6.55 per hour, according to Arnie.

The lovely, wonderful Controller Chiang is still giving Arnie the finger, letting everyone know there is no way he's going to comply with the order.

I think he should run for Governor. I'd certainly vote for him.

Work is good. Kinda boring, but good.

The kids are doing great. School starts on the 20th, and I'm sure Hubby-dear is counting the days. He's been stuck at home with both kids these past two weeks. Although, he swears they're complete angels until I come home.

Figures. I only see their demon-side. Must be something I did while they were in-utero. Probably all the scary books, movies, and TV I watched. Hubby did warn me, but I refused to listen. Damn.

Still trying to get a taste for red wine. Hasn't happened yet. And I realized last night that Hubby doesn't really like to kiss me after I've had a glass. He's not a big red wine fan, either. Grrrr.

OH!!!! I almost forgot. I had some friends from jr high/high school over this weekend for a bbq. One of my best friends, whom I've known since 8th Grade, married her HS sweetheart 15 years after they lost touch with each other. I had band with her hubby when we were in jr. high. I didn't really interact with him, but I knew exactly who he was. Even 15 years after graduation, when BFF told me he got back in touch with her, I could describe him to a "t". Anyway, come to find out, the reason we didn't interact with each other in band was because I was part of the "Bitch Clarinet Section".

Oh. My. God.

I was a bitch!

Not only that, according to BFF's hubby, BFF and I were part of the "popular crowd".

Can you believe it????

I was popular, and I wasn't even able to enjoy it!

I always just thought I was a band-geek. Or, one of those "smart kids". You know - the pocket-protector crowd.

I suppose, to kids even geekier than I was, I must have seemed popular.

Who knew????

Damn bitch clarinet players. They're all the same. :P

I used to date a woman who loved red wine-hell, any wine for that matter. I don't like wine, but I always thought she tasted good when I kissed her. Hmmm? Weird.

Does that mean the Bee Gees were band geeks? Does BFF mean Big Fat Fukcer? As for red wine, latest scientific data suggest that red wine keeps you young, helps the digestive tract, and makes your clothes fall off... As to being popular and in the band, nothing better than someone who can hit the high notes.....

Larry - I much prefer white wines, even with red meat. Very rarely will I buy red wine for myself.

Mystic - Oh. My. God!!! You are hilarious! And yes - I would definately use the term band geeks for the Bee Gees. I can see them with pocket protectors, as well. And I know all the benefits of red wine. I just wish taste was one of them. Oh, and seeing as how I played a bass clarinet, my high note sounded something akin of a whale during mating season.

And BFF - Best Friend Forever.

I wanted to play clarinet when I was a kid but my mom said it would give me "buck teeth." So I retaliated and went for the drums instead. LOL

I keep in touch with a couple of peeps that I've known since gradeschool, too. It's great!

Clarinet players are never bitches. I should know because I was one too.

If you would like to acquire a taste for red wine, come and spend a weekend with me. I will teach you how it's done!

Isn't earning $6.55/hr in California equivalent to earning -$3.55 an hour anywhere else?
