Had our Christmas Card pictures taken last weekend. Just got the digital proofs e-mailed to me today. With kids as cute as these, is it any wonder why I love the holidays so much???

Happy Birthday, My Love

Happy Birthday, Sweetheart.

I just wanted to take a chance to tell you (and the whole world) how much I love you. You mean the world to me. Even though I don't always say or do the right thing, the day I said "I do" and married you was by far the best day of my life.

I love you more and more each day.

Love,
Your Wife

Get these pictures out of my brain!!!!

Isn't it funny, sometimes. An artist releases a song, it gets popular, people play it on the radio, buy the music, listen to it over and over again.

And then the movies get to it. Once they play it on a soundtrack, that song will be forever embedded in your head with something associated with that movie.

Case in point.

I cannot think of "We Are Family" without picturing Gene Hackman in drag. I just can't. And it's scary.

"I Will Survive" comes on the radio, and I get visions of Keanu Reeves and Orlando Jones doing the Electric Slide behind bars.

"An American Girl" brings on memories of Silence of the Lambs.

And the list goes on and on.

Now it's your turn. Are there any songs that you can't hear without thinking of some stupid scene from a movie?

Watching the Morning News

Newscaster: Officials believe that the forty pot houses that were raided over the last few months in the Sacramento and Stockton area are all linked to Bay Area Organized Crime.

Hubby: Did he just say it was linked to the mob?

Me: Yeah, the Bay Mob.

Hubby: The Gay Mob??!!

Me: *laughing hysterically* NO! The BAY Mob.

Hubby: Well, it could be gay, too! Can you just hear it? "I'm thso gonna kill you."

"Parents put Kofi, Spike and Blade on list of baby names

Would you name your child after Blade?

Kofi, Spike and Blade will be among the pupils arriving at primary schools in four years time, new research reveals.

The secretary general of the United Nations, a reformed blood-sucker and a crime-fighting vampire have apparently influenced parents' choice of names for their offspring. They have been highlighted by Bounty, an organisation which supports new parents and mothers-to-be and compiles lists of the most popular baby names.

It studied the details of about 380,000 babies born in the last year and discovered a crop of new names, according to the Times Educational Supplement.

For the first time, six boys have been named Blade, possibly after the vampire-fighting film character played by actor Wesley Snipes.

Some 22 have been named Spike, an undead character from the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Fourteen boys were named Kofi which could be in honour of the UN's secretary general.
It is unclear whether the 94 Mylos are a misspelling of Milo or a deliberate homage to the dance music artist and DJ.

Girls have also gained their fair share of unusual first names including Kiki, Bronte, Luna and the unpronounceable Fds (correct) .

Some old-fashioned names are making a comeback such as Lucien, Clementine and Bernadette.
However the most popular girls' names remain Jessica, Grace, Olivia and Emily and for boys they are Jack, Joshua, Thomas and Harry.

Simon Williamson, managing director of Bounty, said: "Celebrities, films and TV programmes are often the inspiration behind trends in newsworthy names.

"However over 90 per cent of parents still choose from the top 100 popular names in Bounty's annual Baby Name Poll of 380,000 babies.

"It's no surprise that Jack and Jessica are the top names for boys and girls so far this year reflecting the fact traditional names have an enduring appeal."

Bounty, the UK's largest parenting club, delivers guides and support packs to pregnant women and mothers of newborn babies.

TOP TEN BOYS' NAMES

TOP TEN GIRLS' NAMES
Jessica, Grace, Olivia, Emily, Ruby, Sophie, Chloe, Lucy, Katie, Ellie.

TOP TEN MOST UNUSUAL NAMES
Mylos, Kofi, Franco, Spike, Blade, Fds, Kiki, Bronte, Luna, Cadence."

Callum? Callum is on the top 10 list? Who in the hell would name their kid Callum?! Oh, nevermind. This is a British newspaper. They're all kinda weird over there . . .
